About the Musical Theatre Intensive
A Pre-Professional Training Experience for High School Performers
Next Stage: Texoma is a selective three-day performance intensive designed for dedicated high school students who want to grow as musical theatre performers in a focused, professional rehearsal environment.
Students work directly with experienced teaching artists in a fast-paced training setting that emphasizes performance technique, rehearsal discipline, and artistic growth.
The program culminates in a live showcase performance for family, educators, and community members.

Our schedule
 
Monday July 20th
Day 1 –
Assessment & Casting
Students participate in a live vocal assessment/audition. Showcase material is assigned and rehearsals begin immediately.
tuesday july 21st
 
Day 2 –
Development & Training
Focused coaching sessions, choreography clean-up, and performance training. Professional headshots are also taken for each participant.
Wednesday july 22nd
Day 3 –
Polish & Performance
Final rehearsals, dress run, and an evening showcase performance.

Final Performance
The program culminates in a live showcase performance for family, educators, and community members with full lighting, sound, and technical elements.

Admission is audition-based and the cohort is intentionally small to maintain an intensive training environment.
How are students accepted?
Admission is audition-based. Students submit a short video audition (song and monologue), and a small cohort is selected to ensure a focused training environment.
Final casting for showcase material takes place live on Day 1 of the intensive.
What will students actually do during the program?
Students will participate in full-day rehearsals focused on acting through song, vocal performance, and musical theatre movement. The program is structured like a professional rehearsal process, with students learning material, receiving individualized coaching, and working toward a final showcase performance.
What does tuition include?
Tuition includes three full days of instruction, live accompaniment throughout the intensive, individualized coaching, a professional headshot, and participation in the final showcase performance.
